The Delta ITP executive board has overall responsibility for the research and education programme, including policies, efficient and effective execution of all commitments of the programme. The board decides on all matters concerning the scientific strategy and the execution of the research programme. In addition it is the responsibility of the board to further foster collaborations between the various principal investigators and to follow an integrative approach regarding the three themes. The key instrument for this is a strategic acquisition policy, both for the tenure track faculty and for temporary staff, as well as the selection of renowned top scientist for the visiting professorship programme.

In order to operate efficiently, each of the participating institutes is represented in the executive board. The board currently consist of the following members:
